Had a client call in requesting a refund on their plane ticket. When I asked why they were looking for a refund, they stated (not very politely) that Mexico wouldn’t let them into the country. They didn’t say why they were barred, so I’ve wondered what exactly did they do? It’s Mexico after all. Did the immigration official look into a data base, see this person’s name with picture and said “whoa, it’s you, you can’t come in gringo”. Even we have (very low) standards. Also, couldn’t they just bribe their way in? It’s not like their trying to go to Canada. Lots of crazy sh*t goes on down there. Unfortunately for them, the insurance doesn’t offer coverage if a country rejects you. Perhaps they should also take a long hard look at their life; after all, Mexico wants nothing to do with them and that’s just sad. Who’s going to reject them next, maybe the Pope?
