Why is dark always considered bad and light is considered good?
New Friend
Recently while camping, I made a new friend.
Truth Be Told
There is no truth to the statement that “they do nothing all day”. The correct statement is “they mostly do nothing all day”.
Crash
I thought I heard a derailment when I interrupted their train of thought.
Musings #480
What’s the past tense of dead?
Power Up
Get all the facts beforehand, don’t jump into the situation stupid.
Keep It Up
Whom am I hiding from; when I know no one is searching for me? Perhaps that’s the reason for my Cabin In the Woods?

Glorious
On my recent camping trip we experienced long periods of rain between torrential down pours, it was grand.

Musings #479
You’re like a ray of sunshine coming thru the slits in an outhouse.
I Died, Not
I was camping recently and had one of those dreams where I crashed my car and awoke with a start. Thing was, everything was black and that freaked me out until I remember I was sleeping in a totally dark tent in the woods.
Purpose
Some people live to exist, other exist to live, right now I am living…
Say What?
If I understood why I do what I do, then I wouldn’t understand.
Musings #478
Sometimes I don’t care, but mostly I don’t.
Exercise
My youngest wants to rename the dog “5 miles”, so if anyone asks they can say, I walked 5 miles today.
Still
I saw a product that stated it was “More Natural”, than what? A pile of sh*t can be considered “More Natural”, but it’s still sh*t. Plus there are plenty of things in nature that can kill you. So a product simply being natural is kind of irrelevant, no matter how much more it is.
Good Day
The day you wake up dead, is the day you don’t have to go to work.
Musings #477
I opened up my mind and dust came out.
Pointless
They assigned themselves a grand task to complete even though it was not related to their actual job responsibilities and they leave their coworkers in a bind since they now have to pick up the slack.
Slow Boat Too China
I heard a coworker exclaim how fast a worker they are. Yeah sure, in the world of slugs perhaps, but not here or at my Cabin In The Woods.

Never Hade
At one point I was cleaning a health spa for extra money. I was there a while when they hired a new personal trainer that I had happened to have gone to high school with. Back in high school he probably considered himself higher on the pecking order than me, and since he was at the bottom here, he thought he could boss me around. Well no, problem was, I didn’t work for this health spa, but rather an outside contractor. They were real surprised when their boss yelled at them, because my boss yelled at their boss, for him interfering with my work. He discovered that his perceived status in high school didn’t matter to me then, nor did he have it now or ever.
Musings #476
If we all got what we needed, none of us would be here.
Truth Of
What if I’m right and they’re wrong, it’s probably not the case, but what if?
Really?
Back in college I volunteered for the schools EMS since I was there anyway. At one point we needed gauze, so we put the request through the schools purchasing department and they put it out to bid. When we received the winning bids supply of gauze, it was not white, but flesh color. It looked like we were using dirty gauze. I think that supplier just dumped it on the school, since who else would ever buy it?
Nice Delusion
The only problem with their story is the actual truth.
Musings #475
I’ll never know everything that I didn’t know.
Only One
It’s not only big organizations that can be indifferent, I’m an individual and I can be also.
Fess Up
Take a good look at yourself in the mirror and stop blaming everybody else for your shortcomings.
Not
They call themselves the consummate professional, but their actions speak of their lack of.
Musings #474
Their trying to find a solution to a problem that doesn’t wanna be fixed.
Perhaps Above?
You know you’re in an affluent community when people have time to run and get exercise and are not worried about their next meal or a roof over their head.
It Is
Life is when everything right, goes wrong and my Cabin In The Woods burns down.

Good Enough
That comment shows a certain lack of understanding of what’s occurring, and shows little desire to understand it at all.
Perhaps Both?
Lately I’ve been having trouble falling asleep and in the opposite end I’ve been having trouble waking up also?
No Goals
They’re setting the bar pretty low for themselves. I hope they’re not surprised when the world doesn’t beat a path to their door.
Self-Improved
I’ve tried to get into a couple of philosophies that people push forward as a way towards self-improvement. But in the end they just didn’t work out for me. Perhaps I’m my own philosophy?
Musings #473
Better sorry than safe.
Uncertian
Am I handling it right or am I handling it wrong, only time will tell.
Not Me
No one wants to be the one at fault, for our egos want to ignore it. Myself I’ll run off to my Cabin In The Woods pronto.

Crap
I noticed today that a coworker had their name tattooed on their arm. When I asked them about it they said it was done when they were much younger and perhaps that younger self were afraid of forgetting their name. Sounds like regret to me.
Musings #472
I know what I know, but that an’t it.
Thud
You’d think that by dropping my Nikon off a twenty foot cliff “accidently”, it would bounce, not so much.
But If
If you doubt the validity of my answer with no basis in reality, then you’re free to move on, I don’t need your lack of perspective.
Back It Up
You can’t tell people to stop doing something and then don’t enforce it. Since they then have no real reason to stop that activity for they know there will be no consequences.
Musings #471
In a perfect world there would be no mistakes, but then we’re not perfect.
No
It’s all a matter of feeling like doing it and right now I’m not feeling it.
Black And White
In their black and blue world, it should always be them and the rest of us don’t count.
Top Of
Thank you for being so mediocre.
Musings #470
It’s easier to ignore when I’m not aware of the situation.
Of Course
Can I slowly ask you a question?
Not Hard
Someone asked me how I could live like this, easy, one day at a time at my Cabin In The Woods.

Elusive
You’re still out there chasing the dream, which is fine. But in my case the dream seems to have eluded me.
Musings #469
I’m more than willing to share, for the right price.
Continues
If I were to retire today I would have no purpose. So when I do retire I need to retire to a purpose.
Ignorance
The more I know, the more confused I am. That doesn’t help my situation any.
Perhaps
When people sneeze the standard response is “bless you”. Well I’m considering a new approach and instead say, “dam you to hell”. Perhaps this is a bit extreme, but it would get people’s attention, and then perhaps it will spark an interesting conversation.
Musings #468
It is what it is, until it isn’t anymore.
Within
It may not be enough but it’s what we got and that’s what we have to work with.
Should Have
You could have told me the truth and not paint me the fool.
Yum
I thought I was having a meltdown and then I realized it was just a tuna melt.
Musings #467
Their threshold for understanding is set very low.
Rework
Your prioritization of what is necessary is quite backwards.
What?
I’m absolutely listening; I’m just not paying attention, that’s all.
Wishful
Decision making is a process that should be well executed, but mostly it’s not.
Musings #466
It’s a statistical doesn’t matter.
Time Lapsed
I don’t believe your story because you have had time to think about it and you’ve come up with a rationalization that absolves you of all sin.
Blink
My eyes are wide open, not. For sometimes facing reality hurts too much and denial seems to be the better option, until…
Replace?
I have come to realize that a lot of long term situations in my life have come to an end this year. Question is, will I be able to replace them or struggle with the loss of these situations or will there just be a void that I can never fill?
Musings #465
Don’t get my hopes down.
Always Hope
You keep telling yourself that and perhaps someday it’ll be true. But right now it’s all just delusional.
Slyme
The sludge of the Internet is created by the trolls that inhabit it, need we say more?
Try It
I want you to take the “stupid challenge”, try doing something that makes sense, see how that feels.
Musings #464
I trust them about as far as I can’t throw them.
Ponder
Are you done demanding what you’re never going to get, maybe you should sit back and re-evaluate to find a more realistic mind set.
Knowledge Is Limited
When someone is an idiot and they don’t know it, it’s annoying. I’m an idiot and I know it and so I work within those parameters, but I’m still annoying.
Think Again
Just because you think you have the right of way, that doesn’t mean you really do, or that others around think so either.
Musings #463
I lost some weight, but it keeps finding me.
Not Far Enough
I am currently hanging out in a hammock in the woods and while this is really nice, I can still hear the constant hum of traffic from the expressway in the background. So this is not a place for my Cabin In The Woods, to close to civilization. Plus that chainsaw in the distance is really killing my buzz.

Just The Facts
I am looking for useful information, not someone’s philosophy on useful information or their opinion on how to apply it.
Tilted
My world is already centered right there on the point of a pin.
Musings #462
You knew what I meant because I didn’t.
Ha Ha
When I was a mere teenager, one of my friends grandfather purposely looked a lot like Santa Clause. One of his favorite things to do was to go to church on Christmas Eve dressed in a red jacket and sit right up front so all the children could see him. I’m sure that got a lot of children thinking about that naughty and nice list and wondering whether Santa was checking up on them.
Mr Who?
Out of college I got a job in retail management. One day while walking thru the store an employee referred to me by my sire name. Boy did that make me feel old. I wanted My Cabin In The Woods after that.

Not You
I don’t want nor do I need anything from you, so please move on.
Musings #461
I can’t be here and I can’t go back there, so this really sucks.
Two Way
My teenager says I’m really bad at this talking thing, I told them they’re really bad at this listening thing.
It’s Me
It’s raining, it’s pouring and I’m the old man that’s snoring.
Muddled
I can’t think straight, so I guess it’s croaked then.
Musings #460
I would if I could, but I can’t so I won’t.
Not Happening
My employer wants us to take the crap that people put out on the phone, yeah, no to that; that just enables these idiots to do it to others. I don’t give them the satisfaction.
Politeness
They said: No thank you. I responded: You’re welcome, anytime.
Perhaps
I am what you think you are, interesting isn’t it.
Musings #459
I want to work to live, not live to work.
Heard That
I say everything even if I don’t know what I’m actually saying.
Say What?
I hear everything, but know nothing.
Messenger
I don’t make the rules, I just make the calls.
Musings #458
When things change, adjust and move on and don’t dwell on what was, but what is.
Square Wheel
It’s a pain in the butt when everything falls apart and it puts you in the position where you have to reinvent the wheel, yet again.
Musings #457
They intend to do as stupid implies.
Mo Mo
Their like a dairy farmer, their milking it for all it’s worth.
Rayless
I don’t worship the sun, but rather the shade.
