Not What It Seems

A lot of times when I was called out on the ambulance we would arrive at the scene to something other than we were told by dispatch.  One of the calls we were most often misinformed about were personal injury from a fall.  You’d leave thinking it’s going to be a blood & bones call and you get there and the patient actually had a stroke, that’s why they fell; now you need the paramedics.  One example of why you need to be ready for anything.  The person who called it in, may have seen the fall, but didn’t understand the reason, but then why would they?
