When my youngest was 10 they asked for some money for the school’s book fair. You’d figure that a 10 year old would come back with some sort of story book. Mine came back with a book on the elements and they read it completely, numerous times. They studied the periodic table long before they were at the grade level for it. One day they asked me if I knew it, I told them that back in my day the periodic table only had 3 elements, air, water and farts; they couldn’t locate farts on the table, it must have been removed.
