Yep, it’s been 10 years since my first post and I haven’t even broken 5000 hits, so all is good?   I been considering ending this blog, for who would miss it besides me.  Maybe when I hit 1000 musings?  So in the world of the Would Be Hermit, what should I do?  I’m still awaiting my Cabin In The Woods!

Those who deny truth, unfortunately, will suffer unnecessarily.  Those who accept reality and are taking steps necessary will reduce their suffering.

Right or wrong everybody’s got an opinion and I don’t want to hear any of them.

They all want to preserve what they had.  Sorry it’s too late for that.  It’s gone.

I’m not a thief.  I’m a acquire and/or a seeker of opportunities.

I was at the grocery store, passing by the corn on the cob, where a customer was chucking the corn.  There was sign clearly placed stating not to do that.  Then an employee also asked them not to do that.  The overly entitled person proceeded to argue with the employee on how wrong they were and they were going to call corporate to clear this up, they couldn’t possibly be wrong.  At one point they actually state that they’re not going to engage with the employee anymore because they don’t want to argue and then proceeds to continue arguing for another five minutes.  I think they engaged.  Of course they’re in the right, despite the signage and employee statement.  It’s not possible they’d ever be wrong.

Sometimes the journey is worth the wait.

Don’t assume a seat at the table is automatically yours because of who are or think you are.

They don’t have timelines to inconvenience you.  They have a timeline to get the job done correctly since rushing it would give false information.

You’re here to keep us safe from god knows what, but who’s gonna keep us safe from you?

Snoozers can be losers, so wake the fuck up!

Just because you don’t like something and believe strongly that it should never happen again, doesn’t guarantee it won’t.

No fixed abode.  A fixed abode would be my Cabin In The Woods.

Do you pick and choose what you want to believe in, in a religion and disregard the rest because of inconvenient truths?

Just because you’re able to do it, doesn’t mean you should.

I’m as good as anybody at creating self-inflicted problems.  However, that doesn’t mean I should push them onto others.

The goal is to fire someone who knows what they’re doing and replace them with someone who thinks they know what they’re doing, but aren’t even close, it’s called stupidity.

Sometime the best response is not to respond to them at all.

I like to get the process to the point I don’t think about it.  Rather, I just do it.

If you can’t find your reasons, then why should I have to?

On a canoe trip when I was in Boy Scouts we were at Raquette Lake staying on Big Island in June and the black flies were out of control.  So three of us decided to paddle over to the nearby village to buy a can of Raid.  Once we located the Raid in the store it was about $5.  It was the 70’s and between all of us we only had enough to buy a candy bar, so the bugs won and the candy bar melted. 

I’m sick of people making points off of other’s suffering.

What’s it like to have been the big fish in a little pond and then getting flushed out into the ocean where no one notices you anymore?

That’s a roundabout way to get nowhere.  And still I haven’t arrived at my Cabin In The Woods.

I’m all knowing, yeah, right.

The mystery was way more interesting than the actual reality of it.

Even though I feel like crawling into a hole and curling up, I still get up every morning and do.

Mother Nature doesn’t care what your politics are.  It’s an equal opportunity destroyer.

A no hidden fee credit card is special because they show you up front how they’re gonna screw you.

I had a dream, then I unfortunately woke up.

They state there is nothing new to learn, actually no.

You did nothing to secure your victory because you didn’t plan beyond that.  Since victory was all that was important, not the aftermath.

Could you possibly make less decisions, even slower?

If you feel the need to prove to others your competence, you need to work on self-confidence, for you only have to prove it to yourself and no one else.

They decided to ignore the problem and let it become someone else’s problem, because that’s what humans do.  Hence the purpose of my Cabin In The Woods.

Shortsighted people don’t get long term consequences.

Someone who fails to grow is someone who keeps making stupid decisions and then being surprised by the outcome.  Then they turn around and do it again.

I’ve been searching for purpose/meaning in my life when one day it occurred to me that being a parent was it.  I/Spouse raised 3 children who are independent and know what they want out of life and are not waiting for us to give them a handout.

It’s hard to make a pile of shit smell like something other than, well,  a pile of shit.

How to ruin your reputation, go all in on asinine ideas.

I have plenty of mean bones in me, I’m just picky as to how I use them.

Some people should have their horn honking privileges revoked.  They’re a little too quick on the trigger.

Your sense of reality is skewed because you actually think that if you don’t like something, it will go away, just because you say so.

I didn’t go on a trip, I’m just on one.

Just because you don’t understand how an agreement works, doesn’t mean your opinion voids it.

If you’re in charge, you can’t just claim all of the things that go right and then try to pin the bad things on your predecessor, you need take on both and fix what’s wrong.

How about you stop blaming others for their lack of action and just fix it.

When you are trying to do something positive and you keep running up against indifference, it’s hard not to arrive at that point yourself.

Thinking about it, is not the same as actually doing it.

Some people are just doers, not thinkers and in there lies the problem.

People in positions that they don’t belong in are very annoying when you try to explain a simple request that they should know, but don’t.

It’s a perfect example if incompetence is allowed to run wild and how it can really mucks things up.

To go somewhere else is not to be here.  Cabin In The Woods please.
